The True Heart of David’s Music House

At first glance, David’s Music House might seem like just another small music school offering lessons on various instruments. Like many music schools, it began with a passion for music—something familiar to anyone who’s spent time performing or teaching. Often, these kinds of businesses are born from a musician’s desire to share their love of music while also earning a bit of extra income. It’s a combination of doing what they love and making a living, and there’s something beautiful about that.

But from the start, David’s Music House has been about something more. After leaving a 20+ year corporate job, I wanted to create a business that not only had a chance to succeed but also did good in the world. For me, teaching music wasn’t just about making a living. It was about using music as a way to connect with people on a deeper level.

Here’s the secret to the ongoing and future success of David’s Music House: teaching music is simply a tool—a means to an end. My primary goal has always been, and continues to be, to instill confidence with humility, to promote kindness, to encourage listening and helping others, to foster honesty, responsibility, and thankfulness. These are the core reasons why David’s Music House exists and why it will continue to thrive. We use music to achieve this because music has a unique power. It’s the only form of communication that speaks directly to the human heart and emotions.

At David’s Music House, we’ve created an atmosphere of happiness that stems from a collective effort. Our team is dedicated not just to teaching students how to play an instrument or sing, but to understanding why music makes us feel good. This understanding, in turn, helps us all become kinder, more empathetic people—something our world needs now more than ever.

As we reflect on our journey, now in our 14th year, we see a tapestry of wonderful memories and challenges that have shaped us. Our mission has never been clearer or brighter. The values we’ve built—kindness, gratitude, and humility—are reflected in the students and families who come to David’s Music House every week. You all bring the same joy and happiness to us that we hope we provide to you during your time here.

We look forward to continuing this journey together, with music as our guide and these shared values as our foundation.

Thank you for being part of the David’s Music House community.

With peace and love,

David and Anita
